Danielle King began training at the age of six in Richmond, Virginia. She attended classes at the Richmond City Dance Program and then became a member of the dance company, The Richmond City Dance Troupe at the age of nine. She has trained in various styles of dance such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, African and Pointe. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and has received her BFA in Dance/Choreography and a minor in General Business. While at VCU, she had the opportunity to study with Robert Battle, Gerri Houlihan, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar (Urban Bush Women), Daniel Gwirtzman, Heidi Weiss, Tania Isaac, Miguel Gutierrez, etc. She has performed at various festivals and dance competitions here in the Richmond area along with New York, Virginia Beach, Florida, North Carolina and Las Vegas. She had the opportunity to take various workshops under many different artists such as Sarah Jo Fazio, Sam Fiorelli, Steve Boyd, Jennifer Archibald, Terence Green, Chuck Davis and Gus Soloman. She taught classes for various studios, churches and the Boys and Girls Club. Danielle has a passion and love for dance and has been given the gift to be a dance educator.
